Connecting a custom domain to your website allows you to use a professional and branded web address. Follow these steps to set it up:
Step 1: Add Your Domain in the Website Builder
- From the main navigation, go to Website Builder.
- On the right side of the page, under Domain Settings, enter your domain name in the format
mywebsite.com
. - Click Set Domain.
Step 2: Update Your Domain Provider's DNS Settings
Next, log in to your domain provider (e.g., Cloudflare, GoDaddy) and configure the DNS settings to point your domain to the website builder.
Cloudflare
- Log in to your Cloudflare account and select your domain.
- Go to the DNS Settings tab.
- Click Add Recordand set the following:
- Type: A
- Name: @
- Value:
3.220.209.49
- TTL: Auto
- Save the changes.
GoDaddy
- Log in to your GoDaddy account and open your domain.
- In the DNS Managementsection, locate the A record for your domain.
- If an A record already exists, update its value to
3.239.39.56
. - If no A record exists, click Addand set the following:
- Type: A
- Host: @
- Points to:
3.220.209.49
- TTL: 1 Hour
- If an A record already exists, update its value to
- Save the changes.
Final Step: Allow Time for Propagation
DNS changes can take up to 24 hours to propagate. Once complete, your custom domain will point to your website builder page.
